An ongoing investigation of how water presents itself: sometimes untouched, often negotiated.
I look at water from above. From height, water takes on its true scale, and what cannot be seen from the ground appears: the whole, the boundaries, the relationship between the parts.
I search for waters that do not resemble the idea we have of water. Sometimes the cause is nature, sometimes it is us, often both. I know where I am going, what I am looking at. The details come later. The image does not say.
What I pursue is the question that imposes itself: what is this, why is it like this, what formed it, what will become of it. Waters free, new, old, used, divided, reused. The question is the beginning.
